The Milwaukee Journal printed a pictorial advertisement on Friday, 19th August 1927, page 19, for Jelly Roll Morton and his Red Hot Peppers, who were booked by the Music Corporation of America for a one week engagement at the prestigious Alhambra Theater.

Coinciding with Charles Lindberg’s triumphal parade in the city, the opening of Morton’s show, complete with dancers and female vocalist, commenced Saturday, 20th August 1927, along with the movie The Lone Eagle.
