Jelly Roll Morton and his Red Hot Peppers were booked by the Music Corporation of America for a one week engagement at the prestigious Alhambra Theater. The opening of Morton’s show, complete with dancers and female vocalist, commenced Saturday, 20th August 1927, along with the movie The Lone Eagle.
